More new soaps!

I just finished adding in all my new soaps on my etsy account.  Here’s a few pics to delight you! 🙂

all can be purchased at my store… so feel free to visit and look around for more info on each soap.

New items up on Etsy!

I just posted 3 new soaps on my Etsy Store!  Check them out!  2 use essential oils and 1 uses 2 kinds of fragrance oils and all would make great gifts for Valentine’s Day!  Here’s a picture preview:

Each bar is 4.5 to 5.0 oz!  Pick the design you like before they are all gone!  Each one is scented with Lavender Essential oil 🙂

Each bar is around 4.5 to 5 oz and uses essential oils that are great for the feet (they have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties) plus this one has apricot seeds for scrubbing!

These ones are great for a gift because you get 2 different kinds of soap with 2 different scents.  They are cute too (in my opinion)!

2 more bars

I am going to appoligize in advance.  These photos were taken last night and don’t do my soaps justice.  I am going to re-take all of them this weekend when there is some sunshine.  I still wanted to post these two bars I made the other day.

These are made by using stamps and carefully pouring.  They are scented with White Tea and Ginger Fragrance oil and are made from Hemp and Honey MP soap.

This bar (one is facing up and the other is upside down so you can see the bottom) looks much better in person.  It is called Sunshine and is scented with Orange Valencia and Litsea Essential Oils.  Both are said to be uplifting and it really does smell like summer and sunshine.  There is Lemon and Ginger herbal tea mixed in for exfoliation.  It is made up from Honey and Hemp MP.

Tonight I have to finish printing up my labels and get all of these new soaps packaged.  Right now they are in ziplocks in a box.  I really want to get them up on my etsy account by this weekend.  I know I can do it! 🙂

Homemade vs. Commercial

My friend over at Spotted Hippo Soap dissects a Dove bar (which is not soap btw) and really let’s you know what each ingredient is and then compares it to one of her soaps.  Most homemade soap is a variation of hers and I thought this post was so well written and understandable that I wanted to share with all of you.  You can find my soaps over at my Etsy shop.

Soapy Saturday

I am trying to get some soaps made for Valentine’s Day and today was the day.  Today I got 3 different bar types plus I got about 5 different types of odor eliminator spay and yoga mat spray.  Here’s the soaps:

It’s a Love Thing… Hemp Oil soap scented with Lavender essential oil.

I don’t know what to name this one yet.  It’s Honey and Hemp Oil soap scented with Freesia.

Kiss My Feet: Honey and Hemp Oil soap with Apricot Seeds for exfoliation.  It’s scented with Tea Tree, Lavender, and Peppermint essential oils.

It’s a Girl Thing

I know this blog gets posts few and far between.  The reason for this is 1.  I have been incredibaly busy and 2. I was waiting for my new supplies to come in.  The other day they came and it resulted in a quick soap making session.

It’s a Girl Thing is a Hemp Oil MP soap that is uncolored and scented with some carefully selected essential oils.  These oils all help in that wonderful monthly girl time.

I chose clary sage, lavender, and litsea essential oils.  If you are into that sort of thing (I am but I recognize that not everybody is) here is some information on each one.

Clary Sage: is well known for its balancing properties. Used in PMS blends, it is reputed to help with menopause and menstrual cramps. Properties: Antibacterial, antidepressant, antiphlogistic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, aphrodisiac, astringent, carminative, deodorant, digestive, emmenagogue, euphoric, hypotensive, nervine, sedative, stomachic, vulnerary.

Lavender: is known for its skin healing properties and its use as a sedative. Properties: Analgesic, antibacterial, antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antirheumatic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, aromatic, carminative, cholagogue, deodorant, diuretic, emmenagogue, hypotensive, insecticide, nervine, sedative, stimulant, stomachic, vulnerary

Litsea: Used for a Lemon, or a base note in more elusive citrus notes like Orange, this is a lovely, uplifting essential oil. It can also be used to treat acne or put into face products for oily skin. Properties: Antibiotic, antidepressant, anti-infectious, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, deodorant, digestive, insecticidal, sedative, stimulant, stomachic, vulnerary

Now do I think this lovely soap will cure PMS…no.  But do I think when showering with it, it can cause you to relax and possibly feel a little better.  Yes, but then again I am an essential oil believer.
